My Story

Before beginning my own well-being journey, I worked in mental health and social care, supporting individuals living with schizophrenia and substance misuse. I progressed from a support worker role into Registered Manager, leading services for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, a path deeply shaped by my own lived experiences. It’s a career I continue to work in full-time, Monday to Friday.

Over four years ago, after relocating to a new area, I found myself feeling isolated and disconnected from my support network. In search of community and belonging, I started a local book club. Around the same time, I began therapy, a transformative step that encouraged me to explore what truly brings me joy and purpose.

That exploration led me to self-development, mindfulness practices, and eventually yoga teacher training. What started as a personal interest soon became a pivotal part of my life. It opened doors to meaningful connections and helped me uncover a deeper sense of self.

Since then, I’ve qualified as a Nutritional Therapist, driven by a passion for understanding the body’s needs and how to support long-term health and vitality. I have a particular interest in gut health, which I see as a foundational piece of overall wellness.

Yoga has been a part of my life for many years, initially for its physical benefits. But over time, I came to appreciate its mental, emotional, and spiritual depth. Yoga has offered me calm, in moments of chaos, resilience in times of uncertainty, and a profound sense of connection.

I also know how intimidating it can feel to step into a space and not feel like you belong. That’s why I create welcoming, inclusive environments spaces where everyone, regardless of background or experience, feels seen, supported, and safe to explore their own journey.
